Sony-Ericsson introduced their latest invention earlier today, the Xperia X1. With its 3 inch touch-screen, sliding wide-pitch QWERTY keyboard, 3.2MP camera, wireless 3G mobile, aGPS and beautiful design that even fits nicely in your pocket, they’re taking up the competition against the iPhone and other GPS mobiles.

The phone seams to have all you need and then some, my only concern is battery life as I feel the latest models have been a bit weak in this respect lately (both Nokia and Sony-Ericsson). But why didn’t they put their 5MP camera in this one? They’ve done it to their latest business phone, the G900. And also I think 400MB of memory is a bit low (even though you can easily expand it with a micro SD card). Their latest music phone, the W980i, comes with an impressive 8GB in comparison.
So where’s the competition? The forthcoming Nokia N96 described on Engadget might be the answer.
