DExposE2 is a task switching application similar to the one found on Mac’s OS X. Setup is straight forward, and after tweaking the settings just a little bit (to your likings) it’s ready to go. By default you’ll get all your open applications side by side on the desktop (press F9, F10 or F11) and to select simply click on whatever you wish to work on/with.

Nice fading transitions and help titles when hovering makes this a killer add-on for XP or Vista (Mac user’s obviously doesn’t need this one…).

Here’s how it looks on my Win XP SP2 office PC:

Very few people bother to read the end user license agreements as they are, to be honest, quite boring. But then again you might discover restrictions and limitations you never thought would be covered (lawyers are clever bastards). A friend of mine tipped me off about the following from Mac:

THE APPLE SOFTWARE IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE IN THE OPERATION OF NUCLEAR FACILITIES, AIRCRAFT NAVIGATION OR COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS, AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS, LIFE SUPPORT MACHINES OR OTHER EQUIPMENT IN WHICH THE FAILURE OF THE APPLE SOFTWARE COULD LEAD TO DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, OR SEVERE PHYSICAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE.

Furthermore:

You may not use or otherwise export or reexport the Apple Software except as authorized by United States law and the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Apple Software was obtained. In particular, but without limitation, the Apple Software may not be exported or re-exported (a) into any U.S. embargoed countries or (b) to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Department’s list of Specially Designated Nationals or the U.S. Department of Commerce Denied Person’s List or Entity List. By using the Apple Software, you represent and warrant that you are not located in any such country or on any such list. You also agree that you will not use these products for any purposes prohibited by United States law, including, without limitation, the development, design, manufacture or production of nuclear, missiles, or chemical or biological weapons.

So now you know! This is why terrorists use PC’s?! [ source 1, source 2 ]

Please feel free to share if you’ve found similar (or funnier) license agreements from other companies.

Steve Ballmer was caught on camera during his presentation “Business Leadership and Digital Innovation For Future Graduated” a few days ago. As you can clearly see from the photo the Microsoft CEO is using a Macbook:

The irony is further strengthen by the fact that this was taken with an iPhone And in case you thought this was “photoshopped” here’s another image proof to back it up.

One would think a man in his position would use his own company’s products, but then again he might be running dual boot and actually be using MS office on Vista at the given moment.

Considering the lame reception of Vista and the latest MS products I tend to think “Ha – I knew it!!”. Anyway, it’s a great shot, and the logo on the desk matches the colours of the Macbook perfectly
