Amazing WordPress Themes

Last night I visited noupe.com as I saw from the log they are listing my jQuery navigation menu. Besides the obvious increase in self-esteem I also found a great list of probably the best looking, and working, WP themes around. So if you are looking to enhance your blog, this list is definitely worth a look.

To end this post I would also like to say a big thank you to all of you mentioning my work. Really do appreciate all the visitors you are throwing me :)

Alpha Preview of new WP Theme

As some of you might have noticed I’ve been a bit slower than usual and not kept my daily post routine. Main reason for this being work on a new client website,  a new theme for WordPress and possibly a few new WordPress plugins.

The client site is done (single info page) and will be featured on my development site as soon as I get the clients approval. The new theme is currently available for preview on the same location.

Please consider it an early alpha release as I need to work heavily with the styling (CSS). However I’m quite pleased with the jQuery Accordion implementation found in the sidebar when browsing by date or category. Also the simple toggle effect when clicking the Archive link in the top menu seams useful (for now).

I would be happy to get some feedback on what you all think, and will release the code if anyone shows interest for the sidebar add-ons.

A new theme for WordPress

I’m currently working on a brand new theme for WordPress, based on the popular Sandbox theme from plaintext.org. It’s still in the early stages but I’m hoping to provide a fast and useful 2-column theme for those that find my other theme a bit “wide”.

The theme will (when done) also serve as the design for my forthcoming development/project site. Here you will find (in the not so distant future) work samples and design/programming tips/tutorial.

Please have a look and let me know what you think. I would also greatly appreciate it if you would provide me with input on what you like to see (functions, widgets, plugins, design etc.).

Blogvaria WP Theme

The Blogvaria theme is now ready for download. To install simply unzip the files to your WordPress theme directory and activate it by selecting the theme from your “Presentation” section in the WP admin.

In order to take advantage of all features in the theme please consider adding the following plugins, but note that I do not provide support for any of these – I just use them like you.

Download Download Blogvaria WordPress Theme version 1.0

Feel free to comment or ask questions using the comment form below should you encounter any difficulties using this theme. It has been tested on version 2.0.5 – 2.1.1 2.1.2 so if your version isn’t completely out-of-date it should work out-of-the-box…

Edit 1: A tiny bug was corrected 2hrs after the initial release.

Edit 26 Feb 07: An obsolete styling reference was found and removed.
