Get Firefox 3.5.1 NOW

Due to a critical security issue Mozilla strongly urge all Firefox users to upgrade to version 3.5.1 immediately. As always you can get your language/OS copy here.

Another reason to upgrade now is a new fix that makes start-up time on windows a bit quicker and overall performance even better.

The unofficial Google Gears add-on still works so you don’t have to worry about that either :)

Swift updates and speed seems to keep me loyal to FF. If you feel like commenting and impress me that any of the other browsers are better please have a go in the comments for this post…

Include Apple’s OS X fonts on Windows

It’s common knowledge that a lot of (most) web/graphic designers uses a Mac. Consequently, they tend to use Mac fonts in their style sheets as their first options (at least quite often). Unfortunately fonts like Lucida Grande, Lucida sans etc. are NOT included in the normal Windows package.

Google Gears on Firefox 3.5

I assume most of you Firefox users out there have already made the move to Firefox 3.5. You may also have noticed that Google Gears isn’t compatible yet, which is slightly annoying if you’re running a WordPress powered blog like me (as everything takes a little longer to complete).

However, I’ve just discovered an unofficial add-on that solves the issue. Head on to Techie Buzz to read the full story, or visit the authors download page (Linux, Windows) directly to grab the code.

Finally, please keep in mind that this add-on is both unofficial and in beta. It works for me but in there it might be dragons :)

Any comments or updated info please don’t hesitate to share!
