Introducing PicLens

TrackBack | Filed by Thomas under Photos & Images, WordPress | Post popularity 6%

PicLens is a browser plugin that enables full-screen slideshows within Firefox, Safari and Internet Explorer. The plugin is supported by numerous websites including:

Flickr
Photobucket
Picasa Web Albums
DeviantArt
Smugmug
Facebook
MySpace
Bebo
Hi5
Friendster
Google Images
Yahoo Images
Ask Images
Live Images
AOL Images

It also comes as a WordPress plugin that allows the user to set up slideshows from the controlpanel. I’ve just tried it on Flickr and I must say it looks impressive.

You can download the browser plugin from www.piclens.com or download and try the Wordpress plugin if you are running a WordPress blog/site yourself.

I got addicted to PicLens from the first day that I installed it! It’s damn cool when you face to your whole photostream on flickr as if it was an infinite exhibition. I was so excited about it that I recorded a video to show it: http://www.gantico.com/blog/2008/01/piclens/

Very cool indeed. Loved your HD movie preview approach :)

And your photos are amazing!

It seems to be some what buggy in my version of FireFox (2.0.0.14). It prevents certain websites from loading and it keeps FireFox from loading CSS style sheets correctly. I had to uninstall it to regain full functionality.
