Tricky anti piracy fight

Anti-Piracy Gang Launches their own Video Download Site to Trap People

Media Defender, a notorious anti piracy gang who have worked for the MPAA, RIAA and several independent media production companies, just launched their very own video upload service called “miivi.com”. The sole purpose of the site is to trap people into uploading copyrighted material, and bust them for doing so.

Human-to-Human Design

Came across a great post from “A List Apart” written by Sharon Lee three days ago.

A good website is built on two basic truths — that the internet is an interactive medium and that the end user is in fact human. In other words, it is meant to be an experience. As with any adventure, a little strategic thought is needed to ensure that the experience is enjoyable.

Good “brain-luggage” for any designer/developer. Well worth a read.

Introducing Yod’m 3D

Yod’m 3D is a virtual desktop manager with the fashionable effect “the cube” for Windows XP or Vista. It allows for 4 virtual desktops running at the same time with different backgrounds (if you wish).

Switching between the desktops is very simple and it proves useful for those of us that have lots of apps running at the same time. Besides being somewhat useful it’s also stuffed with fancy transitions and multiple options in the control panel. And to my surprise it didn’t eat that much memory either.

Note! His other app “Visual Tooltip” made my CPU run comfortably at 100% - so even if your Taskbar looks pretty  that’s pretty much all you have as the computer is unresponsive…
