Google Maps even more flexible

Recently Google Maps has made it possible to drag the “blue line” to change your route. This is excellent news for all of us sending friends and family a nice little link that explains how to find our house/cottage/work etc.

Follow this Google Map link to see what I mean, and change the route to (drag the blue line) anywhere. Not only can you change the directions (avoid toll roads, known traffic jams, road work etc.) between two points you can also move the start and end point to the exact location (as Google Maps doesn’t always know where your house number is…) from where you want people to start and end their drive/walk/ride.

Probably the best map tool available on-line today. Very impressive!

A new theme for WordPress

I’m currently working on a brand new theme for WordPress, based on the popular Sandbox theme from plaintext.org. It’s still in the early stages but I’m hoping to provide a fast and useful 2-column theme for those that find my other theme a bit “wide”.

The theme will (when done) also serve as the design for my forthcoming development/project site. Here you will find (in the not so distant future) work samples and design/programming tips/tutorial.

Please have a look and let me know what you think. I would also greatly appreciate it if you would provide me with input on what you like to see (functions, widgets, plugins, design etc.).
