Top 100 Alternative Search Engines

Tired of not finding what you are looking for in Google or Yahoo? Well then the next post I stumbled across should be of particular interest to you.

I have spent a month - since the March update - scouring the World Wide Web for any brand new Search Engines or ones that might have been missed. Several alternative search engines have been added directly from readers’ comments to the last list. And several readers suggested a new category: Charity Search Engines; so that category has been added.

Microsoft drops hints about IE8

At the Mix’07 conference, Microsoft employees discussed the future for Internet Explorer and what might be expected from IE 8. While details may be lacking, the structure of the conferences planned for Mix’07 gives a few hints. Improvements in RSS, CSS, and AJAX support are all being given high priority. It is also widely speculated that IE 8 will include support for microformats, small tags embedded in HTML code that can be interpreted in various ways by software, such as calendar events or contact information.
