Over the years I’ve tried numerous webhosting companies and even if they look equal on “paper” there’s huge variations in the service they’re actually providing. As a rule of thumb there’s a few things you should consider before you decide on a webhost:

I’ve now more or less completed version 1.0 of the theme displayed at this website. It’s been tested on WP 2.05 and works with WP 2.1 (as you can see). In total I’m running 20 plugins on this site, but it should be possible to use it even with only a few of them installed. Both XHTML and CSS validates, with the exception of the iframe search results from Google (which I really have noe way of influencing).

Please feel free to comment and make future requests, as this theme is still considered work in progress.
